Betty Hendrix, CPSA works in colored pencil, pastel, ink, and in watercolor.  She's an avid photographer, and her artwork is done from life or from her own photography.  Drawing, painting, and photography offer her opportunities to savor the beauty all around and then to share what she sees and feels with others.

Betty Spalding Hendrix was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana.  She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut.  She raised a family and worked in the corporate environment.  Since moving to North Carolina in 1989, she pursues her artwork full time.  She has studied with many well-known artists.  Betty has had her paintings and drawings juried into over 50 international and national exhibitions.

Hendrix is a charter member and past president of the Artists League of the Sandhills in Aberdeen NC.  She's an active member and past-president of the Sandhills Photography Club in Pinehurst.  She has had numerous solo and two-woman shows.  Her works are displayed in various shows, offices, and in public and private collections throughout the country.
